Board Of Directors

The Paso Por Paso Board of Directors includes 12 people elected at the Annual General Meeting. Each person is elected for a 3 year term, with 4 vacancies each year. The executive is elected for a 1 year term. Meetings of the Directors are held every other month or as needed. The executive: Fred Fallis, Treasurer. Fred joined the Board of Paso Por Paso in 2012, having been involved on the Board of the Canada Maya Scholarship committee. He recently retired after 27 years as a faculty member of Georgian College. Fred serves on the Canada Maya Scholarship committee and is involved with fund raising initiatives for Paso.

Garry Fell, Vice-President. Garry helps out with the publicity for Paso working on the web site, the Paso blog, the Paso Facebook group, brochure production, videos, newspaper articles, photographs and any other promotional material required. He is also involved with the Canada Maya Scholarships and the plant sale. Garry is a retired Park Street Geography teacher.

Mary Lou Amos, Secretary, is a founding member of Paso Por Paso. She travelled to Guatemala and Panajachel in 2006 where she saw the devastation from Hurricane Stan. Mary Lou is a retired Phys. Ed. and English teacher at Park Street Collegiate.

Doris Middleton, President. Doris is retired and was a case worker with the Ontario Disability Support Program and a union representative. She is chair of the Scholarship committee and is photographed above with CMS scholar Oliva. Doris joined the Paso Board in 2013 and was involved with the Canada Maya Scholarship committee prior to that.
