Our Partner in Guatemala
Paso Por Paso works with a partner NGO - Natün Guatemala - which is based in the town of Panajachel, on the shores of beautiful Lake Atitlan.
As a registered Canadian charity, we cannot fund individuals and families directly. We need to work with a credited Non Government Organization on the ground in Guatemala. Since 2019, our partner organization has been Natün Guatemala. Natün is majority woman-led and majority Maya, Staff are from the local communities and speak the local languages. It works with communities around the lake and with more remote communities in the Highlands.
Natün also works closely with local Maya government councils to identify needs and to collaborate to provide services to meet these needs.
Natün also collaborates with central government agencies, when applicable, such as working with the Ministry of Health on their programs to support nutrition.
